Explanation of game:

This is a fun way to help you memorize new vocab words for the GRE Verbal test! There are two modes: Easy Mode and Death Mode.

Easy Mode:

• You will have 10 seconds to memorize 5 words and their definitions. You can also choose to skip straight to the quiz by clicking “Start Quiz” at the bottom of the list
• The definition will display above the input box. Type in the word (typos are not accepted! but lowercase is) and either click the “Submit” button or hit “Enter” on your keyboard
• Whether you got it correct or not will be displayed below the input box. If you got it wrong, the correct answer will be shown
• Your total score will be listed at the bottom
• Return to the Main Menu by clicking the option at the very bottom

Death Mode:

• All vocabulary words can be chosen, and there is no preview of the words and definitions
• This mode is meant to challenge just how many words you truly know without short-term memory
• The definition will display above the input box. Type in the word (typos are not accepted! but lowercase is) and either click the “Submit” button or hit “Enter” on your keyboard
• Whether you got it correct or not will be displayed below the input box. If you got it wrong, the correct answer will be shown
• Your total score will be listed at the bottom
• Return to the Main Menu by clicking the option at the very bottom
